This is the website for Hartwell plc and its subsidiary Hartwell Automotive Group Limited, Hartwells Garages Limited and Hartwell Motors Limited . Hartwell take your privacy seriously. General
When you register with the Hartwell website you may be asked for the following details such as :-
- Name;
- Address;
- E-mail address;
- Contact telephone number.
We will then keep your details safely and will not sell or rent your details to third parties and will only share your information in the way described in this statement.
One of the benefits of registering as a user of the Hartwell website is that you can request that a member of our specialist finance team contact you to discuss what options there are for you if you wish to obtain car finance. Our specialist finance team is provided by Hartwell Finance Limited and The Trading and Finance Corporation Limited trading as TFL ("TFL"). Both companies are within the Hartwell plc group of companies. In order that the specialist team can give you the best possible advice, they will need to ascertain your credit standing by obtaining a credit search against you. In order to allow them to do this, you will be asked for additional details such as:-
- Length of time at present address;
- Previous address if you have been at your current address less than 3 years;
- Date of Birth;
- Do you have a full UK driving licence?
- Do you consent to a credit search?
Use of Your Data
Hartwell will pass your data to Hartwell Finance Limited and TFL if you request details about car finance.
Hartwell would also like to use your details to contact you about news and special offers that we think may be of interest to you. If you would rather that your details were NOT used in these ways, please e-mail the Data Manager at: data.manager@hartwell.co.uk. Please also use these contact details to let us know if you would like us to delete any information from your records and we will do so at any time.
Tracking
We track your movements on the website to analyse trends and public interest in our products and services, administer the site and gather information for aggregate use. The information we gather in this way is anonymous and is not linked to personal information from which you can be identified.
Sharing
We share information within the Hartwell plc group of companies in order to offer you the full range of our services, but your personal data is not disclosed to any third parties outside the Hartwell plc group at the present time*. In the future we may share your information with selected third parties, which we think may be of interest to you. However, we will contact you to obtain your consent to this. * If you consent to a credit search with respect to a finance application then we will be required to submit your information outside of the group. This information will not be used for any other purpose other than to obtain a credit limit which we will communicate to you.
