Car Scrappage Scheme

The car scrappage scheme initiative by the Government means that you can trade in your used car if it is 10 years or older (up to and including 2000 V Registration), and you could receive £2,000 towards the next new car you buy from Hartwell.

Note: Some manufacturers have now reached their allowance for Scrappage vehicles so please contact your local Hartwell dealership asap for more information.

Is my vehicle eligible for car scrappage? It is if it meets these criteria:

Passenger car or small van up to 3.5 tonnes

First registered in the United Kingdom on or before 29 February 2000

Currently registered with DVLA to the registered keeped making the application, or currently on Statutory Off Road Notification (SORN)

Current MOT test certificate

Registered Keeper must have a UK address

The registered keeper must have been the registered keeper of the vehicle continuously for the preceding 12 calendar months before the order date of the new vehicle
