The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is over for another two years, and Renault’s new Megane was one of the models that most captivated attendees with its dynamic, curvaceous styling.
A stylish family hatchback with plenty of personality, the Mégane is a consistently popular choice with drivers looking for practicality and efficiency. This latest makeover ensures it is also an attractive option for those who are more image-conscious, with the updates including signature LED daytime running lights and sharply styled contours.
As part of Renault’s larger plan to overhaul the entire range, the Mégane wears the new family face – which is defined by its streamlined headlight clusters and large diamond logo. A sportier and more purposeful stance gives the new Mégane a powerful road presence.
Inside, the new Mégane will showcase a seven or nine-inch touchscreen and a cutting-edge head-up display, dependent on the trim level. Contemporary touches, such as graphic-style digital dials and polished aluminium gear shift paddles, complete the sense of modernity in the cabin.
An athletic GT version of the Mégane will also be available, along with a performance-focused Renaultsport model. The GT will boast 18-inch alloy wheels, a honeycomb front grille and sports seats, and will be powered by one of Renault’s lively and efficient petrol and diesel engines. The Mégane Renaultsport will provide 300bhp from a turbocharged engine for seriously competitive performance.
