Available later this autumn, the eagerly anticipated New Peugeot 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport made its world premiere at this year’s Goodwood Festival if Speed.
To GTi version of the 308 has been developed by the Peugeot Sport engineers, enthusiasts of cars that have an exhilarating driving experience. As a result, this GTi can truly claim to be the ultimate in compact, sporty cars.
It’s paintwork alone is immediately striking with the two contrasting colours, Ultimate Red and Nera Black, divided surgically precise incision. This special look is produced in a special workshop and symbolises the cutting edge personality of the New 308 GTi.
With a unique posture, the 308 GTi sits 11mm lower to the ground and this imposing stance ins complete with 19” aluminium Carbone wheels. You’ll see hints of how special this car is from front to rear, such as the twin exhaust pipes, 380mm front brake discs pinched by red callipers branded with Peugeot Sport, chequered flag inspired radiator grille, as well as the GTi logos on the front wings and tailgate.
Inside, you’ll discover a machine built to be driven. The detailed buckets seats offer superb lateral support which allows you to merge with the car and feel every sensation regardless of the weather. Like all Peugeot, the compact dimensions of the steering wheel delivers a natural and prices grip which only adds to the driving experience. The Drive Sport Pack that comes as standard offers you the option of further enhancing the sporty ambiance of the vehicle. Just press the Sport button on the centre console, and the instrumentation changes from white to red, more power and torque data become available on the centre panel and the engine sound is amplified.
But overall, Peugeot Sport developed the New 308 GTi on the basis of a very clear brief: A compact, sporty car that’s punchy and thrilling, for the ultimate in driving pleasure. This vision is clearly encapsulated in every aspect of the car.
