50th Anniversary Ford Mustang Bullitt UK Pricing Revealed

Ford has resurrected an old classic from the late 1960’s - the stunning Mustang Bullitt made famous by Steve McQueen. The Bullitt has been seen in many iterations, but each of the Mustang Bullitt versions keep the same wild spirit of the 1968 classic. The new 2018 Mustang Bullitt special edition is no exception to this, with breath-taking looks that will bring the inner child out of anyone.

The Bullitt, in its iconic dark green paint, has always been a poster-worthy car with the 1968, 2001 and 2008 versions below.

The latest version of the Bullitt features a tuned version of the Mustang GT's 5-litre V8, producing 475bhp and 596Nm of torque that can reach a satisfying 163mph. On top of all that power, Ford has equipped the Bullitt with a custom performance exhaust that gives it a unique sound to match the jaw-dropping appearance. In recent years the Mustang has been showing its prowess in the corners with the new multi-link rear suspension and a revised front strut suspension, ensuring the latest version of the Bullitt will be one to remember!

Ford are yet to disclose how many of the special edition Mustangs they are going to produce, but we do know that they're coming to the UK and they're less expensive than you might've expected. Form an orderly queue and hand over £47,145 to get your hands on one of these stunning limited edition cars.

There's the option of two body colours - Shadow Black and Dark Highland Green - the latter matching McQueen's original car. Custom five-spoke black alloys and red Brembo brakes finish off the aesthetic treatment. A six-speed transmission is fitted with rev-matching technology, ensuring that the 'Stang is as rapid as possible. It's finished off with a cue ball gear lever for maximum coolness. Inside, you'll sit in snug Recaro seats and a 1,000-watt, 12-speaker B&O Play system. That's probably a tad unnecessary, given the classic V8 soundtrack available.

In the video below, McQueen's granddaughter, Molly, demonstrates how special the new Bullitt is in a blood-pumping car chase for a parking spot.
