It’s not long until the new Ford Mustang will be available to buy from Hartwell Ford. The latest version of the iconic American sports car features striking looks, extra safety equipment and improvements to make it even easier to live with on a day-to-day basis. Extreme Power

You have the same choice of engines in the new Mustang as the outgoing one, but both are massively upgraded. The fantastic 5.0-litre V8 now has 450hp, up from 414hp, and can propel the car to 62mph from a standstill in as little as 4.3 seconds. A special Bullitt 50^th Anniversary edition packs an extra 9hp and a lot of visual additions that pay homage to the 1968 Mustang featured in one of Steve McQueen’s most famous films.

While fuel economy probably isn’t one of your main concerns if you’re buying a Mustang, both the V8 and the 2.3-litre EcoBoost engines are now much better on fuel. The latter can even hit almost 40mpg if you’re being super careful with the accelerator.

Tweaks for Europe mean the new Mustang can handle all that power – and corners too! You can also specify the MagneRide damping system as an optional extra on all models, which adjusts the suspension for each individual wheel in real time. As a result, both comfort and handling prowess are substantially improved.

Acoustic Pleasure

If you pick the V8 model, you’ll have the proper American soundtrack included as standard. The sound is absolutely unmissable, and makes you feel like you’re driving down Route 66 or the Pacific Coast Highway. It grabs the attention of all the people you pass. You’ll still get to enjoy a fitting noise on the entry-level EcoBoost model, thanks to acoustic enhancement technology.

However, one of the many upgrades to the new Mustang is the inclusion of a ‘Good Neighbour Mode’. You can adjust the volume of the engine thanks to the active exhaust, which features a quiet mode for early starts or late-night drives.

Filled With Tech

The new Mustang features Ford’s very latest SYNC 3 technology with voice control and smartphone mirroring. Through the eight-inch touchscreen, you can control a wealth of functions including satellite navigation, telephone calls and music. Traditional analogue dials are replaced with an ultra-modern LCD screen to give you total control and satisfaction.
