Colin McRae's Focus WRC up for auction

Between the years of 1999-2002 Colin McRae joined the Ford M-Sport team with a six million pound deal that made him the highest paid rally driver ever at that point in time. After a victory at the safari rally in 2002 whilst driving the Ford Focus Colin McRae broke the record for the most event wins in the World Rally Championships. McRae regarded his time with Ford as "A very successful four years, we've achieved a lot of very good results and I'm quite happy that myself and Ford have had a very successful partnership."

This month one of the Fords that McRae drove in the World Rally Championship will be going up for auction for one lucky buyer to get their hands on. This particular Focus was driven my Colin McRae with co-driver Nicky Grist in four rounds of the World Rally Championships between 1999-2000. You can see the Focus going on sale sliding around corners in the; Rallye Catalunya, France's Tour de Course, Rally Acropolis and Rally China.

The Focus WRC Chassis #68335 will be going for auction at Stoneleigh Park on the 23 rd February and should be going for around £120,000-£140,000. This being a very rare car and driven by a rallying legend means that this will be an exciting auction and bidding is likely to be close.

Here it is today fitted with classic Rally flood lights, would you be interested in owning this car? We know we would love to!
