The SEAT Tarraco is the company’s newest and largest SUV. This flagship model offers up to seven seats and will sit above the Ateca and Arona. It features sharp new styling, impressive practicality and a wealth of the very latest technology – and you could be driving it from the start of 2019. Keep updated by clicking the button below.
SEAT has given the Tarraco some very distinctive styling to help it stand out from the crowd. A new six-sided grille sits proudly at the front, with sharply angled headlights either side. A light strip, creating an attractive view for drivers behind, connects the lights at the rear. Despite its size, the Tarraco looks sleek and refined – no doubt helped by the sloping window line and 20-inch alloy wheels. Future SEAT models will take their inspiration from the Tarraco.
All the lights are LED units as standard. They illuminate the road far better than halogen headlamps, and offer a much sleeker design too. You can choose from eight colours to make the Tarraco your own.
That style is backed up with a lot of substance, as you’d expect from such a vehicle. With the rear seats folded, there’s a cavernous 1,775 litres of boot space. When five seats are in place, you still have 700 litres, and the seats fold and move individually to suit your requirements for every journey. The third row of seats is more than spacious enough for adults – that isn’t always the case with seven-seater cars – and all passengers will enjoy luxurious amounts of head and legroom.
A new eight-inch touchscreen is mounted front and centre on the Tarraco’s dashboard, allowing you to control a wide range of functions at your fingertips. In front of the driver, there’s a 10.25-inch screen that can be configured to show your sat nav directions, the speed limit of the area, plus information from the adaptive cruise control and lane assist.
The Tarraco also features a range of connectivity and safety equipment, such as smartphone mirroring, automatic emergency assistance in the event of a collision, and wireless phone charging.
You can choose from two petrol or diesel engines for your Tarraco. The entry-level 150hp 1.5-litre petrol is mated to a six-speed manual, while other engines can be had with four-wheel-drive and a DCT automatic gearbox. There’ll soon be a hybrid version too.
SEAT says the SUV has been engineered for drivers looking for both excitement and functionality. It offers a much more dynamic driving experience than alternative seven-seater family vehicles.
